FOR INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES

Q. What is Saturn Rewards?
Saturn Rewards is the newest way to support your favorite animal shelters. When you commit to any of our monthly or annual plans, you receive many benefits and an big money saving perk. A great way to reward yourself and help support your local shelter.

Q. Is my donation tax deductible?
Yes. As long as the animal shelter is a nonprofit organization that can accept a tax deductible donation, your gift is tax deductible. You will find that just about every animal shelter on our website is a nonprofit.

Q. What are the donation options?
Currently, we accept monthly donations. Other options coming by fall of 2017. You can donate $25, $35 or $45 monthly. Each donation level gives you different benefits and allows you to select a perk.

Q. How do I donate?
Click here to find a shelter you wish to support. Once you find your local shelter, click on its name. Then select the amount you would like to donate. Then enter your payment information. Click the blue donate button and BAM! you just made a donation to your favorite animal shelter! For some animal shelters, you can even donate directly on their website.

Q. I want to change my donation amount. How do I do this?
Email us by clicking here. Tell us your name, address, city, state, zip code, what your current donation amount is, who the donation is for and what you want to change the donation amount to. Remember, your choices are $25, $35 and $45 monthly. Larger amounts and yearly donations are coming the fall of 2007. We will update your donation within 24 hours and inform you when it has been updated.

Q. I want to change my Donor Perk. How do I do this?
Email us by clicking here. Tell us your name, address, city, state, zip code and what you would like your new perk to be. We will update your perk within 24 hours and inform you when it has been updated.

Q. Something came up and I need to cancel my plan. How do I do that?
We are sorry to see you go but hope you will sign back up someday soon. To cancel your plan(s) log into your donor account by clicking on "Manage My Donation." After logging in, click on My Donations then click on the (+) sign on the left hand side of the plan you are wanting to cancel. Now, under your plan, you will see where it says "Cancel." Click on that. It will ask you to confirm. And that's it, you wont be charged again. Repeat this for all plans you wish to cancel.

Q. Can I pause my plan?
Sometimes, something comes up and you just want to skip one month. We understand, we all have bad financial months. Unfortunately, this isn't something that's possible at the moment. This is a feature we hope to release in the future as it could be very handy for our donors.

Q. Can I support more than one animal shelter?
Yes! You can support as many shelters as you would like. 

Q. What are the Donor Benefits?
As a monthly donor, you will receive a tax deduction letter from the animal shelter every January. This letter will allow you to deduct the donation on your taxes, to the fullest extent possible. You also receive a free annual calendar and a free magazine subscription. These are the basic benefits when donating $25, $35 and $45. When you donate $35 a month, you also receive a free branded t-shirt. When you donate $45 monthly, you will receive (2) annual calendars, (2) magazine subscriptions and (2) branded t-shirts.

Q What are Donor Perks?
As a donor of any package amount, you get to select one perk. Perks are a great way of saving a pile of money each year. Currently, we have the following perks: Dental Discount Plan for your entire household, 6 Free Magazine Subscriptions, 6 Free T-Shirts or you can decide to simply not accept any perks and more will be donated to the shelter of your choice.

Q. What can you tell me about the Dental Discount Perk?
This perk will allow you to save up to 65% on your next dental visit. This is NOT insurance. This is a dental discount plan that allows you to save upfront then you pay the balance. You will save on just about every service you can receive. This plan covers your entire household. 

 

Q. What can you tell me about the 6 Free Magazine Subscriptions Perk?
Currently, we have over 250 titles with more being added monthly! With this perk, you will receive 6 free magazine subscriptions each year. Every other month, we will provide you with a voucher code. You log online, select the magazine you want, enter your mailing information, your voucher code and your free magazine subscription will be on its way. Magazines should begin to arrive in a month or two, on average. There is no shipping fee. Most magazines can be renewed through our program.

Q. What can you tell me about the 6 Free T-Shirts Perk?
Our T-Shirt Perk allows you to select up to 6 T-Shirts for free each year you donate. Every other month, we will provide you with a voucher code. You log online, select the shirt you want, enter your shipping information, your voucher code and your free t-shirt will be on its way. T-Shirts even ship free of charge.

Q. What if I chose not to participate in any perks programs?
In the event you decide not to participate in our perks program, we simply submit more money to the animal shelter your supporting. We lay back $5 a month to cover the cost of the perks. In the event you decide not to participate, we simply submit $5 more a month to the animal shelter your supporting thereby increasing your tax deduction value by $5 each month.

Q. Do I pay taxes on the value of the perks?
No. Should any taxes be due, we pay them for you.

Q. How much will the animal shelter receive from each plan?

With Donor Perks

For the $25 plan, the shelter receives $17.
For the $35 plan, the shelter receives $26.
For the $45 plan, the shelter receives $35.

The remaining portion of each plan will be used to pay our operational expenses and donor perks.

Without Donor Perks

For the $25 plan, the shelter receives $22.
For the $35 plan, the shelter receives $31.
For the $45 plan, the shelter receives $40.

The remaining portion of each plan will be used to pay our operational expenses.

FOR ANIMAL SHELTERS

Q. How will Saturn Rewards benefit me?
In a major way. We take care of soliciting donations, processing the donations and rewarding the donor. We even send a "Thank You" card to the donor thanking them for making a donation. When creating Saturn Rewards, we had both the animal shelter and donor in mind. You wont find another service like ours. Its one of a kind (and we pride ourselves on that fact!)

Q. Are my donors able to deduct donations made to us using your program?
If your shelter is a nonprofit organization, then yes. Because we will have a signed contract with you, the donation would be considered tax deductible.

Q. Who mails the acknowledgement letters to my donors for the donation(s) they make?
We require our clients to send their donors an acknowledgement letter every January for all donations received the prior year.

Q. My shelter is located outside of Pennsylvania. Can I participate?
Currently, no. But by the end of 2017 we hope to be nationwide.

Q. How do I enroll my animal Shelter?
Click here to begin the process. When you fill out the form on that page, we will send you a contract. It must be signed by two people at your shelter. One signature must be from someone on the board of directors. Standard requirement. Once its signed, we submit it to the state. Then after the state's approval, you will be officially enrolled. Participation in our program is set up for a one year term however either party can cancel at any time. Its expected that both Saturn Rewards and all animal shelters give the other party a two week warning that they are ending participation, should that ever happen.

Q. How long are the contracts between Saturn Rewards and animal shelters?
Contracts are valid for one year. Under special agreements, we can create longer or shorter ones.

Q. After a donor donates, how long until I receive the donation?
Donations are processed on the following dates: 5th, 10th, 15th, 20th and 25th. We will inform you when you enroll which date we have selected for you. The donations will be submitted to you within 5 days of the donation being processed, as per state law.

Q. How will I receive the donation?
Direct deposit (this is our preferred method as its the quickest.) We can also submit the donations to you via check.

Q. How much will our shelter actually receive for each donation?

With Donor Perks

Q. Is Saturn Rewards a nonprofit?
No. We are an Limited Liability Corporation.

Q. Can animal rescue groups participate?
Sure! We are glad to help all animal related causes.
